Проведення заходу англійською мовою (конференції, семінари) - це не така вже й рідкість в наші дні. Тому сподіваюся, що невеликий набір фраз на допомогу ведучому, який я тут представляю може стане в нагоді всім, хто за родом своєї діяльності пов'язаний з організацією міжнародних конференцій, семінарів за участю іноземних спікерів і тому подібних заходів. Я зробила цей ресурс для Ірини з Москви, яка на цьому тижні буде провідною на міжнародній конференції.

Почнемо з привітання (плюс деяка інформація про організацію заходу)

-Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. My name ... I'm the ... It gives me great pleasure to open the plenary session of the ... You all have the agenda before you. Before I adress the agenda, I just want to say ...

До вашої привітання приєднуються інші важливі персони

-Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. We're ready to commence our afternoon session after that lovely meal. Wow. I should eat so well at home.

Як відомо, не все йде згідно з планом навіть на самій ідеально організованої конференції:
-This afternoon we have a slight variation in the schedule.
-Ladies and gentlemen, we're back in session. I have one announcement before we go to our first presentation.

Подання виступаючих може бути дуже розгорнутим і офіційним по тону, а може бути коротким і невимушеним

-As you know, the two gentlemen who will be speaking to you today are two of the leading sociologists and political scientists thinking about this subject of the .... We are delighted to have ... .and ... ..with us

-Ladies and gentlemen, we're ready to proceed to our next presentation, to be given by ...

І, звичайно, необхідно вміло завершити дискусію після виступу
