Що відбувається за кілька годин до початку грецької весілля в будинку нареченої? Нервування, сказав би будь-який, хто хоч раз був присутній на українському весіллі. У Греції не так. Поки професійний візажист (в більшості випадків це саме так) накладає нареченій макіяж і укладає волосся подружки героїні торжества подружки нареченої спокійно потягують коктейлі, в чому (поки що!) І виражається їх участь.

Here comes the bride

In Greece, before the wedding ceremony, the close friends and the relatives of the bride gather at her house to help her get dressed, according to the tradition. This is a party nobody wants to miss. A professional hairdresser and make-up artist (most of the times) does the bridal hairstyle and make-up, while the attendees are tasting delicacies, having drinks and talking pleasantly to help the bride to forget her stress. Later, the mother of the bride and her friends help her to wear the wedding dress, singing wedding songs. The laughter alternates with tears of joy. Before the bride wears her bridal shoes, the unmarried girls write their names with pencils on their soles. The tradition says that the girls whose names will be erased will marry first. So, who will be the next to get married?
